Sneak Peek, Avery

0907jones04_2

Hmm, I’m a tad late posting these so I don’t think I can really call it a “sneak peek” but I still could not resist sharing Avery with you. She looked darling in her Tinkerbell costume which was a perfect match for the location we were shooting in. We were joined by a few feathered friends midway through the session, it was just like something out of a fairytale, magical!

Gosh was it ever hard to pick which images to post for this session, she’s simply adorable in all of them!

Ok, this one is going in my “end of the year outtakes” file. Laughing1

It’s a big world out there

When you look toward the horizon and see the beautiful Sanibel coastline you suddenly feel very small. It really is a big, big, world! This little sweetie is Eliana, she was visiting the island with her family from Kentucky. She was such a little doll too. Very expressive.

Call me crazy but I simply adore the little ‘tude she’s giving in this shot.

Aw, now here’s a glimpse of that sweet smile. :)

Who are YOU?

Meet Tyler of Naples. This little fella was FAR more interested in the beach than me, can you blame him? Persistence pays though, once he decided I was alright he was full of smiles and fun. Did I mention how much I adore his hair?! Way too cute!

Big fun, Texas Style!

The internet is an amazing thing! I am fortunate enough to have professional photographers that I consider my friends throughout the US. Need a fabulous photographer for your next vacation, email me, I can probably give you a few wonderful recommendations and I am more than happy to help you get fabulous photos during those times that I can’t be there. Um, if you’re going to Jamaica, the Bahamas, Paris, etc I would like to remind you that I fit nicely in your standard suitcase and travel very light.  Laughing1

This stunning family was actually referred to me by friend, Jennifer of  Sugar Photography in Texas. Now why am I not surprised that they showed up for their beach session in cowboy hats? Love, love, LOVE it!! How perfect to bring a little bit of their home to the beach with them.

Seeking refuge from the cold

And who can blame them? These adorable little girls got a break from the chilly Wisconsin winter when they came for a visit to Sanibel Island. What a change I’m sure it was, from playing in the snow to getting portraits taken on the beach. Snow birds are more than welcome here. Granted, I was born in Michigan but I haven’t lived there since I was a small child and I just can’t imagine that kind of cold. Brrrrrr

Good people, good times, big fun!

You may recognize this little lady from one of our new site’s cover images. What a fun family to work with, giggling the whole way through the session and completely open to my wacky ideas. Gotta love that!

Sneak Peek, what a difference a year makes!

It’s been almost exactly a year since I had the pleasure of photographing Kevin. When we first met in October 2005 he was slightly under the weather but completely adorable in spite of it all. I’ve jokingly said that this family has connections – it was a miserable rainy day and they had traveled from Atlanta so rescheduling was not something that would be easily achieved. Yet, less than 10 minutes before their session not only did the rain stop but the clouds just opened up for this family and let the beauty of Florida shine down on them.

Interestingly, as we drove away from the beach that night it began pouring and continued to rain the rest of the evening. Kevin is two now, not under the weather this year, but definitely guilty of being a two year old with a lack of concern for his own safety. We almost didn’t get a chance to meet today due to an incident with some mean stairs before they flew down this year. Thankfully he escaped unscathed (see, I told ya this family has connections!) Kevin is so completely charming at two and my goodness, he is as as handsome as ever! What a little flirt. Shannon & Chris, you are doing a fantastic job with this little man, every image brings a smile to my face and a fond memory is revisited in my heart! I can’t wait to share the rest of the session with you both, but for now, I hope you’re content to have a little sneak peek from today. Enjoy the rest of your stay in sunny Florida!
