Who’s that girl?

If you’ve contacted me lately you might find yourself wondering who that girl is responding you your emails. Allow me to introduce to you the newest member of the lifeXpressions family, Kelly…

A Mom of two adorable little guys, a lover of photography, and a lifeXpressions client herself for more than two years Kelly certainly knows the drill and I have no doubt she’ll fit right in and become a wonderful asset to lifeXpressions. Her main goal is to help me stay focused (trust me, not an easy task!) by answering emails and helping to ensure the day to day tasks flow smoothly from session booking to print delivery which will leave me a little more time to do what I do best - take pictures! :)

So, if you get a reply from Kelly, be sure to give her a warm welcome and for Pete’s sake go easy on the girl, I’d like to keep her around for a while. ;) *giggle*

    Hi Everyone! First, let me say thanks to Terrilyn for the wonderful introduction…she has a way with words :) And thanks to all of you for leaving such thoughtful comments as well. I’m very excited to be working with Terrilyn, considering I’ve admired her work for quite some time now. I’m really honored to be helping her out and know she’ll be a great mentor and friend. And, I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you too! Right now, I feel like a bit of a voyer - lurking behind the scenes looking at all the gorgeous babies, families, and smiles as I put your orders together *chuckle*. I love it!

    Now, this is the first time I’ve seen the family pic above and I have to say OMG!!! Only SHE could pull that shot off, and I LOVE it! Terrilyn, you got it goin’ on girlfriend. Snap! :)

Featured Session: { Avery, 3 yrs }

Yippee! Another featured session slideshow!! Why? Well, partly because I have guilt over being such a bad blog poster recently but mostly just because she is way too cute and I just couldn’t decide on ‘a few’ favorites for the blog. I’ve had the honor of photographing Avery 3 times now, in fact, her adorable smile happens to be one of the first images on the main website. I know it doesn’t seem possible, but I do believe she gets cuter every.single.time we meet! Kudos to Avery’s Mom & Nana for their amazing sense of style yet again. I’m thinking maybe I should put you two on the payroll as client stylists, you ladies are awesome!! :grin:

Shhhhh, Sneak Peek on the down low…

Is that how the cool kids say it? Okay, I freely admit I haven’t been a ‘cool kid’ in quite a few years but what I do know is that I have one very excited Meema and Mommy waiting for this sneak peek that also happens to be a surprise for a certain unsuspecting Daddy waiting back home in the Big Apple. Ya see, Mom and Dad are both brilliant artists in N.Y.C. - yeah no pressure there :lol: Mommy is hoping to surprise Daddy with some wonderful photos of their adorable little man for the holidays. So….can ya keep a secret?? Great, I thought so! :D

Without further ado I introduce to you one most adorable little guys I’ve met thus far. His name is Luther and he has the such a sweet gentle soul you can’t help but fall in love with him instantly. :)

Don’t ya just love that last one? I think he’s practicing for trick or treat time! ;)

Rain or Shine…

The Slices of Life Mini Sessions will go on - and by golly we’ll have fun doing it! Ya gotta love a well prepared Dad! Kudos to Lilly’s Daddy for having the foresight to bring along some fun rain gear and the laid back attitude to make it all just ‘work’ regardless! Lilly’s Mommy is out of town at the moment and I know just how hard it is to be away from your little one so I’m hoping this sneak peek will bring a smile to her face.

I have many more families and photos to share and I promise, more sneak peeks from the Slices of Life sessions very soon! This unusually icky weather backed up my sessions just a tad and I’ve got an early start on the beach tomorrow so this photographer must take time to recharge her batteries before a crazy busy week. However, I do want to take a moment to say thank you to all the wonderful families who made their way out in the rain and humidity to keep me company today, you are all AMAZING, thank you from the bottom of my heart.     Love it! How fun to get some shots in the rain! Kids never care anyways and are still positively adorable even wet! Hey, at least it was WARM there. My boys were out playing in a rainstorm yesterday and it was only 60 degrees. They were lovin’ it!

Sneak Peek: Welcome Marlee

I’m going to sneak this peek bright and early because I happen to know there is a certain Aunt on her way to Florida today who has been stalking the blog waiting for these. I just couldn’t let her come to Florida without giving her a little time to prepare herself for the incredible cuteness she’s about to see face to face. I mean little Marlee is like pure sugar, so sweet she makes your teeth ache but whatever you do you just can’t get enough of her. :razz:

Kisses for Marlee from her big brother Maddox. {awww} Maddox is two and man is he quick, thank goodness my trigger finger was pretty quick too!

Dut, Duts, and Gonuts

Now before you think I’ve gone completely loopy, I’ll explain. I’m sure most of us have hundreds of humorous stories about our children, parenting, and life in general but I’d be willing to bet most of us can’t tell those stories with as much whit and litterary skill as Shane Groah. As the husband of my dear friend (and ultra fabulous Annapolis photographer) Connie Groah of Barefoot-Photography I’ve had the honor of hearing a few of Shanes stories first hand but you certainly don’t need to know the man to understand the humorous anecdotes he writes about on his blog; Dut, Duts, and Gonuts. So if you’ve got a few minutes (or hours!) and you need a good laugh, check it out. I’m willing to bet you’ll be glad you did!

Love and Romance on Fort Myers Beach

This family was really a joy to work with in so many ways. Their lively personalities and the love they share for each other was evident the day of our session and I think that feeling is certainly shining through in the images captured that day. With their oldest daughter graduating from high school this year and Mom and Dad renewing their voes on the beach the very next day this was certainly a memorable time in their lives and I feel quite honored that they picked me to capture the moments and help them preserve these memories.
