Happy Easter!

Hi everyone!  Just popping in, as I promised I would, earlier this week to update you on happening’s around town.  For those of you who missed it, check out my prior blog – Hippity, Hoppity Easter’s on It’s Way - for a pretty healthy list of things to do with your family this weekend, including Easter Egg Hunts, Bunny sightings, etc.    I wanted to add to that list a pretty cool event I just found out about:

The Naples Zoo!

From April 10th through 12th, the Naples Zoo is stuffing giant papier-mâché eggs with the animals’  favorite treats.  Bring the whole family out to watch these exotic and amazing animals dine on an Easter Brunch all their own!  While you’re there, be sure to take the Primate Expedition Cruise (to ‘Monkey Island’ as my two year old calls it), check out Planet Predator, take the guided tour through the beautiful Botanical Gardens, or head on over to Alligator Bay at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to watch a feeding.  Pretty cool stuff!    The Naples Zoo is open daily from 9:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. and is located at 1590 Goodlette-Frank Road in Naples.  Check out www.caribbeangardens.com for more information and ticket prices.

Lakes Park – Update

Sadly, as many of you may have already heard, a few knuckleheads broke into Lakes Park in the middle of the night last Saturday and managed to vandalize much of  the Railroad Museum’s popular Train Village – a 1.5 mile ‘miniature’ train ride alongside a small village which is often decorated to celebrate the holidays.  The good news is that Lakes Park has said the ride will be open this weekend, despite the damage that was done.  So, head out, support the park, and take your kids for a ride – they’ll love it!

Wishing you all a very Happy Easter, Passover, and anything else your family might be celebrating this weekend!

♥Kelly

Too bad about Lakes Park’s Easter Express Kelly. Thanks for the update and the fabulous ideas for Easter fun this week. We’ll be at the Estero United Methodist Church Egg Hunt tomorrow morning, Liv has her pink tutu easter basket and has been ready to go for the last four days! :)

Lakes Park is our favorite- every time of the year! Love the HUGE train playground/jungle gym and can’t wait to go again for the water area. Just a note to other readers. The train rides are great, but they don’t take debit/credit card- have cash on hand. It’s not so fun packing a very excited 3 year old BACK in the car to find an atm.
