That’s right – April 22, 2009 is Earth Day! Take a look at the awesome, beautiful planet we live on for a moment. It’s really breathtaking, isn’t it? Makes you want to make sure we take darn good care of it for our kids and their kids, and many generations to come.
Before I let you all know about some super fun things going on around town, I thought I would take a moment to talk about how lifeXpressions tries to do its part in taking care of our planet. For starters, Terrilyn and I salvage and recycle everything we possibly can between each other. When she drops off shipments to me each week, she loads me up with anything I might be able to reuse when preparing your orders to ship. I, on the other hand, am always grabbing great boxes from my office that have been tossed aside, as well as bubble wrap, air bags, and so on. You get the idea. The point is, when your orders arrive at the doorstep, you can rest assured that although the box is recycled and may have a few boo-boos, the memories Terrilyn captured are waiting just inside and will be cherished by you forever. Trust me, you’ll forget what the outside of the box looked like as soon as you open it! And our planet will be left a little cleaner because of it. Oh, feel free to reuse our box too – kinda like paying it forward to future generations *smile*.
Speaking of reusing – I was serious when I mentioned a couple posts ago for you all to share your snapshots with lifeXpressions. So, start emailing…we would love to be voyeurs into your lives for a change! Actually, Terrilyn and I were talking about featuring some of your photos on the blog (which I think would be totally fun!), but we need you to send your pictures to us in order to do that. Send ‘em on over to kelly@lifexpressions.net. Then, stay tuned…
Now, for all of you who live in the area, here’s a list of Earth Day events going on around the town starting as soon as 2:00 p.m. today!

Just an FYI, Target is giving away their reusable shopping bags and coupons for energy efficient light bulbs today, another easy way to “celebrate” Earth Day- just make sure you use the bag instead of the plastic bag when you leave!
