Taste of the Town, Centennial Park – Fort Myers, Sunday, Nov. 8th 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
The Junior League of Fort Myers is excited to host their 27th Annual Taste of the Town event at Centennial Park on Sunday, November 8, 2009, from 11AM – 5PM. The Taste of the Town has emerged as Southwest Florida’s largest outdoor food festival attracting an estimated 15,000 people to Centennial Park each year to sample “tastes” from more than 40 top local restaurants and enjoy live entertainment on the main stage (A200, Cracker Blues Band, Alter Ego, Heather Brooks and Catman Doodz). The event, held along the beautiful banks of the Caloosahatchee River in the historic River District of Fort Myers, is a favorite among locals and tourists. Parents and children will love the designated children’s play area, which includes a bounce house, inflatable slide and obstacle course, games, face painting, Pirates and more!
Admission of $5 includes live entertainment, activities, and 40 top local restaurants. Tickets for food and beverage are available inside the park for $1 each and are traded to purchase food, dessert, or alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. All items are priced under $5. American Sandsculpting Championship Festival, Fort Myers Beach, Nov. 4th – 8th
The American Sandsculpting Championship and Beach Festival continues to be one of the most popular, family-friendly events in Florida — attracting over 100,000 attendees. The annual event, now in its 23rd year, owes much of its success to the area’s natural resources, which are considered the BEST IN THE WORLD for sand sculpting events.
The 23rd Annual American Sandsculpting Championship & Beach Festival promises to be the best ever. This year, sixteen of the world’s best Master Sculptors, along with dozens of Florida State and Amateur Sculptors, will unite on Fort Myers Beach to create their imaginatively stunning works of art from the fine, sugar-white sand of Fort Myers Beach. The combined lineup of Master Sculptors participating this year, hold an amazing 27 World Sandsculpting Champion Titles and 18 American Sandsculpting Champion Titles.

Estero Fine Art Show, Miromar Outlets, Estero – Nov. 7th & 8th
Estero, FL is located on the southwest coast of Florida, halfway between Ft. Myers and Naples (just in case you locals forgot!). The Fine Art Event takes place outdoors at Miromar Outlets, an upscale mall with more than 140 stores.
