So are you all enjoying the Mother and Child sessions as much as I am?? I have to tell you, there is something so fulfilling watching these beautiful women play with their children and being able to capture those moments for them. I’ve been photographing this family since Lauren (big sister extraordinaire) was just a year and a half old, later I had the honor of joining the family as they welcomed little Alec. Then, it seemed like Alec no sooner graduated from our Just One Year Program when he was promoted to Big Brother status to welcome baby Kaia.
As you can see, I’ve shared a lot of memories with this family through the years so when Mom contacted me to see if I had any available dates for the Mother and Child Portrait Sessions I was beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to capture some special mommy memories for her. Knowing that it can be a bit of a challenge to get three very young children in the same frame and looking content to be there, I decided it might be best to have the session on the grounds of their Naples home. This way I could spend some time photographing the children playing with mommy in an environment that was already familiar and comfortable for them.
These children all have such unique personalities. First I’ll introduce Lauren; my little model. Eager to pose and smile for the camera – provided I have plenty of pretty flowers in the shot with her, and trust me Lauren, I do.

Kaia, sweet baby Kaia. She is the observer. Patient and content to just absorb all of the activity surrounding her. She’s changed so much since our newborn session and I’m really quite excited to watch her personality evolve as time goes on.
Alec; spunky, spirited, and full of energy. He can wear you out and melt your heart all at the same time. I just adore the way his pudgy little fingers are holding Mom’s face while they snuggle in the shot above. Thank you Mom, I am so very honored that you have trusted me to capture these memories for your family through the years and look forward to capturing many more!
