-Kelly R. Turner
I can hardly believe Spring is already here! The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines springtime as: 1) the season of spring; 2) youth; 3) an early or flourishing stage of development. How true as Spring brings with it a sense of renewal for a lot of us…the trees are filling out with leaves again, flowers are starting to bloom, the ocean has begun to warm up and receive kids of all ages – splashing through the waves, building sandcastles, watching with wonder as the sunlight makes the water sparkle like diamonds.
Spring also brings Easter – which means many things to many of us. Whatever you and your family choose to celebrate on this day, I’m sure it includes a little bit of fun – like opening an Easter Basket on Sunday morning. Or, going to church and then grandma’s house for an Easter Egg hunt. It might mean coloring Easter eggs with mom and dad (which always conjures up memories of vinegar smells for me!). Maybe spending the day with your loved ones, sharing precious time together over your favorite meal.
This post will be dedicated to all the fun stuff going on around town….like Easter Bunny sightings and Easter Egg Hunts! Tonight I will feature events in Lee County….I’m still snooping around Collier but wanted to give you all something to think about while making your weekend plans.
