Out Of Office Until Monday April 19

April 9, 2010 – 11:00 am

I’m excited to be heading to North Carolina with my dear friend and colleague Connie Groah of Barefoot Photography We’ll be working together on a commercial assignment capturing training images for the Marine Corps Civilian Police Academy at Camp Lejeune. This should prove to be a fun and challenging experience for us both. Check out the scene from Camp Lejeune below, doesn’t that look like an incredible location!?! urban-mout-training

All calls will be returned after I return to the office on Monday, April 19th. I’ll be working hard to get the proofing galleries online for those who are still waiting just as quickly as possible upon my return. In the mean time Kelly promises to keep the blog hopping with Sneak Peeks from our recent sessions, make sure you give her some comment love because we’ve got some truly wonderful stuff to share with you all!

Our “Stay-cation” on Sanibel Island

….was INCREDIBLE! Two days alone with my husband was beyond amazing. Topping the trip off by being able to share the beauty of Sanibel with my children for two more days made the trip feel complete. They really enjoyed collecting an amazing amount of sea shells and finding the elusive sand dollars. No one wanted to come home but I promised them we’d come back and play again real soon.

Trevor, in typical teenager fashion managed to avoid the camera completely. Nick is obviously quite proud of his shell collection as marked by his willingness to ‘pose’ with his prize collection. His only disappointment came from having to return to sea the ones with little buddies living inside them.

Olivia was in love with the little clam shells and convinced she could hear the ocean listening to them too. ha ha So cute! She’s my little love monkey and has a tendency to not want to let go of my side but by the second day she was running wild along the gulf coast.

Move ‘em On, Head ‘em Out | Out of the Office ’till Aug 11

Portrait sessions on the beaches of Sanibel Island As summer comes to a close we’ve managed to pack in one last little get-away but this get-away is for Mommy and Daddy only.

Yep, that’s right, my gang (shown above) is going to go spend a few days with Grandma and Grandpa and my sweet husband is whisking me away for an extended weekend on beautiful Sanibel Island. Aw, don’t be sad for them, they’ll have a fantastic time being spoiled rotten by my parents and then join us for a couple days of beach fun on Sunday. As for me, I’ll be back in the office totally refreshed and ready to go on Tuesday. Have a fantastic weekend everyone!

Back To Work

I am back and working hard at the office today playing catch up on phone calls and emails but I thought I’d take just a moment to share with you some of the beautiful sites I saw on my trip to Annapolis and D.C.

I have to tell you, it was so nice having my own personal tour guide and a completely awesome photographer on hand at all times for the trip. I’m thinking the ‘personal vacation photographer’ is a service worth looking into for future trips, seriously! I don’t often get such amazing vacation photos with me in them, thank you to my dear friend Connie for putting up with me for the last four days. *smooch* You are the best girl!

Congratulations FSU Class of ’09 { Out of the Office until May 4 }

I’m heading up to Tallahassee to celebrate my little sister graduating from Florida State University with her Bachelors Degree in Nursing. {Woohoo Michelle you so totally ROCK sis!} Yea, we’re all a little excited. Michelle plans to remain at Florida State while she works to receive her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree. I, on the other hand will be back in the office bright and early on Monday May 4th.

Speaking of May, Mother’s Day will be here before you know it! If you haven’t already taken advantage of our Limited Edition Mother and Child Sessions you’ll want to give me a call right away next week. We’re nearing end of this promotion and will only be scheduling two more mother and child sessions for this special offer.

I’m Baaack!

I’m home from California! First let me say, brrrrrrrrrr - That’s a Florida girl’s first impression of San Francisco, though I hear they’re expecting a heat wave this week, I was freeeeezing! Cold weather aside, I was so happy to spend time with a few dear friends that I don’t get to see often nearly enough. We had a ton of fun, photographic evidence has been included for your viewing pleasure. The One Light Workshop was a fantastic learning experience, teaching me a few new skills and helping me discover ways to improve current ones. Today I am behind the desk working hard to finish proofs for a few very patient clients, until then, I hope you’ll enjoy this fun look at San Francisco from the perspective of a few nutty photographers.
