The bestest day ever!

That is what Olivia told me as I tucked her into her bed last night. My princess turned four yesterday. To celebrate the momentous occasion we invited several hundred of her friends to the latest hot spot on the preschool circuit, Kid Zoo in Bonita Springs. Okay, in reality there were closer to 14 children in attendance but they move so fast – by golly it sure felt like there were a lot more! ha ha

She.had.a.blast! The children who came to her party had a blast, the parents who brought the children to her party even had a good time – and that’s saying something! :) I believe in supporting local business owners whenever I can and I have to say that I was seriously impressed with this facility and it’s owners. If you haven’t already checked out the Kid Zoo, I highly recommend stopping by. Their indoor play center is built to accommodate crawlers through school age children at the same time.

I know, I probably sound like an infomercial now and I promise you, I have not been paid for my endorsement! ha ha But if you weren’t convinced by this point to check out Kid Zoo I have just three little words to say to you. Repeat after me – DROP.AND.SHOP – Yep, you heard me.

Safekeeping and care of your personal photos

I always do my best to ensure client images are safe and secure in my care. Packaged with their print order, our clients receive a brief “Caring For Your Portraits” guide to help them keep their investment safe for years to come. Most of us are not so diligent in caring for our personal photos and snapshots, sadly, even I am guilty of snap shot neglect from time to time. What do these three things have in common? According to some studies, a lot! Psychologists reveal how decorating your home with family photos and placing images in strategic locations throughout your home can increase your child’s confidence and self esteem. Imagine that! I’m not surprised. Grin

Tracking down the perfect album

This seems to be a daunting task for me lately and I’m sure my clients can relate. I’m always on the hunt for albums that are both functional, beautiful, and of course safe for my photos. Today I stumbled upon the TrueGuard top loading albums and slipcases. What I love about these albums most of all is the ability to customize the pages to suit my needs yet still have the “slip in” style pockets for placing the photos. I also adore the fact that their pages will accommodate 5×7 prints. Ooo and they offer black acid free card stock backing pages (or white) but I think everyone knows how much I adore the black pages for making the photo the focus of the album. They’ll also personalize the albums for you for a whopping $3.99, love that!
