Sneak Peek, Logan

The beach at sunset + handsome young man + rockin’ tunes being played while I’m shooting =  one totally inspiring creative high for me!! Thanks for such a fabulous session Logan!

Just one more, we had to stand in the rain for this series. Mom holding my reflector over my head to shield the camera. *giggle* Seems to be the way these evening sessions go this time of year. That’s ok with me though, I just love those stormy blue skies behind him. Yeah, I think it was worth it.

Senior Portraits on Sanibel Island

Ok, first I have to say, how cool is Mom to schedule Dana’s senior portraits during their vacation on Sanibel Island? She might just be the only girl in her Pennsylvania high school to get her senior photos done on the beach. I think that’s pretty cool!

Not only is Dana absolutely beautiful, she’s also quite a trooper! The day or her session was just plain gloomy. No, I take that back, it wasn’t merely gloomy it was raining on us for most of the session! I had her ducking for cover under my reflector, I was balancing an umbrella over my camera…oh…did I mention their were mutant misquotes attacking us the entire time too? See, Class A Trooper! She deserves something awesome for her hard work because aside from a few water spots and a dark sky in a few shots you’d never know, she was all smiles and sunshine. :)

Not ‘Just Another Day At the Beach”

I am often asked if I photograph adults. Meaning executives, models, actors, and so on. My response, Yes!! Of course I do! Though my first love and loyalty lies with child photography I do enjoy having the opportunity to work with adult subjects. These sessions give me the opportunity to set scene and plan the next shot as opposed to my child sessions where I am forced to rely on instinct and quick thinking. Both are inspiring and challenging sessions, just very different from each other in the approach and the outcome.

Tonight I’m going to share some images from a recent session with an aspiring actress. Some of the images may be a bit more daring than what you are used to seeing showcased on lifeXpressions, rest assured, images showcased here will always be “G” rated. :)

Sneak Peek, Elizabeth

Elizabeth, Class of 2007, bless her heart - this girl can get some air under her feet! Nope, not a cheerleader either. Elizabeth is a lover of the arts; drama, dance, chorus. Brains, beauty, and ambition - I have no doubt she’ll succeed in whatever she chooses to do.

Last minute seniors filtering their way through to me. I don’t mind, Kelsey was a joy to photograph. I swear this girl does not have a bad side. She’s a beauty inside and out. Good luck K!
