Sneak Peek: Welcome Marlee

I’m going to sneak this peek bright and early because I happen to know there is a certain Aunt on her way to Florida today who has been stalking the blog waiting for these. I just couldn’t let her come to Florida without giving her a little time to prepare herself for the incredible cuteness she’s about to see face to face. I mean little Marlee is like pure sugar, so sweet she makes your teeth ache but whatever you do you just can’t get enough of her. :razz:

Kisses for Marlee from her big brother Maddox. {awww} Maddox is two and man is he quick, thank goodness my trigger finger was pretty quick too!

Peek-a-boo I See You!

It really shouldn’t surprise me that Marlee is as amazing as she is. I mean I’ve been photographing this family for more than two years now and it’s easy to see beauty and sweetness are in their genes. Go ahead, see for yourself: September ‘06 {Maternity Session}, November ‘07 {Maddox turns ONE}, August ‘08 {Waiting for Marlee}

Introducing Jack {Then & Now}

I can say I’ve know Jack since before he was born. ;)

I first met Jack’s Mommy and Daddy a little more than a year ago now for their New Beginnings Session. Their image showcased in The Big Book of Babies was a result of their subsequent newborn session. Jack is a big brother now and just bursting with energy, evidence included below for your viewing pleasure. ;)

We asked Jack’s Mom to answer a few questions for the blog, here’s what she had to say…

What are your child’s favorite books to read?

“Anything with airplanes or boats.”

Where do you shop for women’s clothing, you know, the kind of clothes that make you feel wonderful and don’t scream “teenager” or “mom”?

“Macy’s Dillards, Banana Republic, Saks Off 5th Ave, Puddy ‘n Pearl, and Mollie Montgomery for traditional items”

ha ha ha I think I’ve finally found someone who likes to shop as much as I do. Good taste too, hm, maybe I’ve found a new shopping buddy! ;)

Photographs are important to me because…

They document memories, windows into our pasts - where we’ve been, who we were with, what we were doing, expressions…”

My favorite little escape from parenting is…

“A night out with my husband - to enjoy a nice dinner and each other over a glass bottle of wine in peace and quiet.”

Do you have any special plans for this summer?

“Going to a Buffett concert for sure!”

What do you love about lifeXpressions? (Hey, you know you would ask too!)

“Your ability to capture the ‘everyday’ shots and turn them into something beautiful that sends sparks to your heart and will be cherished forever! :) THANK YOU!!”

Introducing Aidan & Ashton {Then and Now}

Two totally adorable toddlers - yep TWINS! I always loved the thought of having twins, even though my own chance of ever having twins rested somewhere between zero and ziltch. ha ha Well, let me tell ya, when I left their home after our session together I walked away with a new appreciation for what parents of multiples must go through on a daily basis. My hats off to you guys, that is seriously tiring work!

Allow me to introduce to you…

Aidan & Ashton {then} as published in The Big Book of Babies:

and here are Aidan & Ashton {now}:

So cute! They were just as fun (and just as tiring) as when I first met them two years before! Thanks for coming out to play with my guys, I hope I’ll see you both again very soon! :)

Sneak Peek, Linkoln (Fort Myers Newborn Photography)

I had the pleasure of meeting this handsome little guy last week, not quite two weeks old and just loaded with personality! I shouldn’t even be looking at his session yet since I still have a few ahead of him but I just adore newborn babies and he looks so darling…

Soooo, here’s a sneak peek for Linkoln’s Mommy & Daddy and I wouldn’t be surprised if I end up sharing a few more when actually I start to edit this session - he is THAT cute! :)

Ok, now tell me that last shot didn’t make you laugh out loud right at your monitor?! Too funny! I can almost hear his thoughts, “You want to try WHAT pose with me?”. *snicker* I told ya he was a cutie!

Sneak Peek, Chelsea & Hayden {Happy Accidents}

I’ve been a lover of photography all of my life and a student of photography for more than 11 years. I’d like to tell you that I go into each session with a plan, that I can look at my subject, her surroundings, and what know the outcome will be with every click of the shutter. I’d like to say that but people, especially children, are not all that predictable. I don’t need to know the outcome of every shot, life happens! Oh don’t get me wrong, I love the watching the light, studying the composition and setting a scene. I love having a vision and being able to realize that vision. Yet some of my favorite images are merely happy accidents…

Meet Hayden, 13 days old when photographed. My newborn sessions tend to run long, on average 2-3 hours long. They change so quickly in those first weeks, my goal is to capture all those little newborn details before they go away. Over the last four years I’ve certainly photographed my share of sleepy smiles and itty-bitty baby parts. Still, in all this time I have never seen a brand new baby laugh out loud during a session, and being able to capture that image for Mom and Dad, to say I’m delighted would be an understatement! Now if I could only remember what I said that was so darn funny!

Yes, Hayden is remarkable. Of course, I’m not really surprised.

I’ve had the honor of photographing her sister Chelsea before and she is equally delightful! See for yourself… :)

Sneak Peek, Samantha

0108lawrence11

Happy 2008!! I am so excited to be back at work and feeling completely rejuvenated after the holidays. I’ve been working hard in the office for more than two weeks now, those of you who know me know that being cooped in the office surrounded by stacks of paperwork will drive me up a wall. Needless to say, I was thrilled to get back to shooting and interacting with civilization again this last week. :)

I’m just going to pop in real quick this morning to share a few of the sweetest little peanut I’ve ever seen. Samantha was in a hurry to get here and came a little sooner than planned but she certainly has all the spunk and power of any full term baby. She is one determined little girl and I am just thrilled to be able to share her with you.

Sneak Peek, Mason

Well, it’s almost time to call it a night but I simply couldn’t turn in without taking a moment to introduce you to Naples newest heartbreaker, Mason. J & D have been fabulously fun clients to work with over the last few years and I am truly honored that they invited me back to share this very special time with them once again.

Mason was only 9 days old at the time of our session but already following in his big brother’s footsteps and being quite the little charmer. What a handsome little dude! 0907sommer04bw_3
