Sneak Peek { Kaitlyn & Kenzie } - Sanibel Island Family Photography

It was certainly beautiful on Sanibel today, I couldn’t help but pull out the camera and snap off a few shots before my clients arrived. I think the planets aligned just perfectly for this family. When I arrived on the island it was hot and oh so bright. Just look at that big beautiful blue sky surrounding the old Sanibel Lighthouse….

The sun managed to make it’s way behind a few clouds as I was shooting which opened up a rare opportunity for me to capture a few shots of the family with the old lighthouse in the background. Normally the sun is right next to the lighthouse and much to bright to be suitable for portraits (unless of course I was working with a team of assistants and had those portable strobes I’ve been eying *hint*hint*). ;) Today I had the pleasure of working with a very a lovely family vacationing all the way from Canada. While we were chatting I learned that tomorrow is actually Mom’s birthday!! So, happy birthday Mom! I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek into our session, the girls were delightful! I can’t wait to share the rest of the images with you all! :)

Proof Update for the {Slices of Life} Mini Sessions | Sneak Peek Jaiden & Eliana

First, a quick status update for my Slices of Life mini session clients who are patiently awaiting their proofs. All Slices of Life proofs will be online Friday November 14th. Clients will be notified through email just as soon as the galleries are active with complete instructions on viewing and ordering. :)

Now for the fun stuff…I just have to sneak peek a few of Jaiden & Eliana. It seems like only yesterday little Eli was a sweet newborn all snuggled up in Daddy’s arms. Look at her now, growing up so quickly! At 2 years old she looks exactly like her big sister looked when we first met more than 3 years ago. Clearly good looks run in the family!

Sneak Peek {Berklie & Family} - Estero Family Portraits

Just a quick sneak peek tonight. I promised Berklie’s Mommy I would share some images from our session together asap and well, it’s holiday season so unfortunately asap wasn’t as ‘asap‘ as I’d hoped it would be. Rest assured Mom, I’ve got some fantastic images for you guys. In spite of the heat, humidity and a toddlers innate ability to run like lightening the second their little feet touch the ground. *giggle*

Here’s a little taste of what’s to come, your proofs will be ready very soon!! Thanks for being so patient with me!

Isn’t she just the cutest?!

Sneak Peek: Welcome Marlee

I’m going to sneak this peek bright and early because I happen to know there is a certain Aunt on her way to Florida today who has been stalking the blog waiting for these. I just couldn’t let her come to Florida without giving her a little time to prepare herself for the incredible cuteness she’s about to see face to face. I mean little Marlee is like pure sugar, so sweet she makes your teeth ache but whatever you do you just can’t get enough of her.

Kisses for Marlee from her big brother Maddox. {awww} Maddox is two and man is he quick, thank goodness my trigger finger was pretty quick too!

Peek-a-boo I See You!

It really shouldn’t surprise me that Marlee is as amazing as she is. I mean I’ve been photographing this family for more than two years now and it’s easy to see beauty and sweetness are in their genes. Go ahead, see for yourself: September ‘06 {Maternity Session}, November ‘07 {Maddox turns ONE}, August ‘08 {Waiting for Marlee}

Love and Romance on Fort Myers Beach

This family was really a joy to work with in so many ways. Their lively personalities and the love they share for each other was evident the day of our session and I think that feeling is certainly shining through in the images captured that day. With their oldest daughter graduating from high school this year and Mom and Dad renewing their voes on the beach the very next day this was certainly a memorable time in their lives and I feel quite honored that they picked me to capture the moments and help them preserve these memories.

Featured Session: Naples Beach Family Session

Let’s call this a trial run of a possible new feature to the innerXpressions blog. My goal is to be able to share more than just an image or two but rather to give blog viewers a real taste of what a lifeXpressions session is like. Personally, I prefer the quality of the slideshows I create for my clients for long-term enjoyment since the color accuracy is more realistic and the images don’t move quite so rapidly but this little animated ’snip’ is pretty adorable in it’s own right. :)

I posted a few images from this little guy’s session on the blog toward the end of July and, well, since the whole family is just so darned cute anyway I decided they would be the perfect family to kick us off. Please feel free to leave your thoughts on the video and the concept of future ‘featured sessions’. I am always open to feedback! Now I must get ready for a special evening out with my guy. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Now available for pool parties!

Ha ha ha, ok, not really but I do love working with creative parents who aren’t afraid to step out of the box when it comes to their family portraits. With two tots under 3 years old I’m betting Mom is used to having to improvise to make things work. Totally worth the effort, in fact, I often feel like it’s those fantastic ‘every day’ moments that just happen during your session that make the most memorable images.

Meet Brandon (3 yrs) and Chloe (1 yr), two gorgeous little children with boundless amounts of energy. While we did capture some adorable more ‘planned’ images during this session, without a doubt my absolute favorites are the images I was able to capture after the children thought “picture day” was over. They put on their swimsuits and totally let loose in the water.

One thought comes to mind as I proof these images - they capture what’s real. Real life with two toddlers isn’t peaceful, it isn’t clean, they don’t usually do what you want them to do when you want them to do it. That’s ok!! Enjoy their spunky little personalities! I hope that when the dust settles (say in about 18 or 20 years -ha ha ha) Mom & Dad will look back at the images captured remembering the chaos. Then, as they look up at each other, they’ll smile with pride because they survived! ;)
