It’s that time of year again! lifeXpressions will be offering our annual holiday mini sessions on Friday September 24th at Delnor-Wiggins Pass Beach in Naples and Saturday September 25th at the beautiful Naples Secret Garden. Our Slices of Life sessions offer the perfect opportunity to capture a few great shots- whether you would simply like to document a new milestone or capture a shot for use in your holiday cards. All of our regular products will be available making this the perfect opportunity to get a jump on your holiday shopping!
Sessions are quite limited and as such will be scheduled on a first come – first serve basis. The Slices of Life session fee of $75.00 is required to reserve your time. Fair warning, these sessions will book fast! We recommend calling early to ensure availability of your preferred time.
Each Slices of Life Session Includes:
- 20 minute session for up to four people
- 10-15 images presented in a private online gallery

The last session date to ensure holiday delivery of your portraits is October 29, 2010.
The last date to order portraits for delivery before December 24, 2010 is November 15, 2010.
I’m thrilled to let you all know that lifeXpressions photography has now expanded to include another child and family photographer! Many of you have already met her in person, and many of you know her from the blog, but we hope you all will welcome Kelly Turner to our team!
I first met Kelly in 2006 when she commissioned me to capture her maternity and newborn pictures, and again in 2007 with the birth of her second child. Over the years, Kelly and I developed a friendship and what started out as lending me a helping hand during a very busy holiday season, eventually blossomed into more. Kelly initially started assisting me ‘behind the scenes’ with packing orders, posting on the blog, and basically learning the ropes. For the past year, Kelly has accompanied me on nearly every session – helping with lighting and prop setup for newborn and maternity sessions in client homes, holding scrims and reflectors for child and family sessions on the beaches of Naples, Fort Myers and Marco Island. She’s got quite a knack for keeping the clients entertained while the session unfolds and charming the little ones into adorable giggles. She has also been my photographer-in-training. Those of you who have met Kelly have likely seen her photographing alongside me during your session. She loves photography as much as I do, and has shown devotion and dedication to learning the profession of photography under my guidance. Although I will mentor Kelly as she continues to refine her skills, she is ready to take on her own sessions and I couldn’t be happier to have her here. I think our clients will enjoy the fresh look she adds to the already unique artistic imagery lifeXpressions is famous for.

I’m excited to be heading to North Carolina with my dear friend and colleague Connie Groah of Barefoot Photography We’ll be working together on a commercial assignment capturing training images for the Marine Corps Civilian Police Academy at Camp Lejeune. This should prove to be a fun and challenging experience for us both. Check out the scene from Camp Lejeune below, doesn’t that look like an incredible location!?!
All calls will be returned after I return to the office on Monday, April 19th. I’ll be working hard to get the proofing galleries online for those who are still waiting just as quickly as possible upon my return. I simply adore my profession and being able to preserve precious memories for my clients. I often arrive at a client’s home for their session with several concepts in my head and ideas I would like to try. However, when commissioned for a session my first goal is to capture the images my client has his or her heart set on. This means I don’t always get the opportunity to bring the ideas rolling around in my head to life. To accomplish those personal goals and try some new techniques lifeXpressions photography is looking for a few fresh faces! Specifically we are looking for Newborns under two weeks of age and babies 6 months – 14 months old.
Newborns under two weeks of age with one or both parents. Mom and/or Dad should be comfortable in their own skin as some of the images will involve skin on skin intimate portraits with your newborn. Newborn must be younger than two weeks of age at the time of the session. Expecting Moms who are interested and due within the next 6 weeks are encouraged to call. Twins are welcome!
Babies age 6 – 14 months old with outgoing personalities who love meeting new people and exploring their surroundings. Being able to sit unassisted is helpful but not required.
For participating on this model search and helping me bring to life a few of the creative ideas flowing through my head you will receive a complimentary child session, an online gallery for sharing the images captured with family and friends and 20% off print prices. This session will be geared toward bringing a certain pose or artistic concept to life, additional poses, looks and ideas may be captured as time permits but are not guaranteed. A signed model release will be required as some of your images may be used for future marketing purposes.
