I recently had the opportunity to meet up with Michelle on the beach in North Naples. Being a Michigan girl you can imagine she was pretty excited to have her senior photos taken on the beach, can’t say I blame her! Michelle is a beauty, inside and out. And as you’ll see below, a complete natural in front of the camera.

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Katelyn for a fantastic senior portrait session on the beautiful beaches of Sanibel Island. Katelyn is just as sweet as can be and absolutely beautiful, I’m more than a little jealous of her flawless complexion and beautiful bright smile. Hang in there Katelyn, I’m working on your session this week and should have those proofs up and ready real soon!
Just a few to share today from a totally fun session I recently had with a couple of very talented young authors. They needed something unique and whimsical to use for their upcoming promotional materials and book jackets. Oh and yes, this session also took place at the Naples Secret Garden I mentioned last week. So many posibilities for this enchanting place.
Literally! I guess you can’t really blame people for staring, I mean she’s beautiful isn’t she? If Miriam looks slightly familiar to you, she is the same model/actress roating through the banner images at the top of the blog. She called me wanting to see about updating her portfolio when she passed through Naples after wrapping up a television show in LA, how could I refuse? Remember this face, this young woman is going places. I’m looking forward to being able to say “I knew her when…”

Meet Erin, remember her face and expect to see her gracing the big screen very soon. Erin is a very talented college student and actress from New York whom I had the pleasure of working with just recently. I actually find it refreshing to step outside of the ‘norm’ and work with a client who doesn’t make me chase them. *giggle*
Beyond the whole anti-chase factor there is a certain amount of enjoyment that comes from having the opprotunity to put some of that expensive photography gear to use. You know the stuff you buy that you think you can’t live without, only to find it isn’t nearly as useful when you’re dealing with little people who sit still for exactly 0.2 seconds. 
My beloved Lasolite Grip reflector is so much fun to play with for different looks….

Just one more, we had to stand in the rain for this series. Mom holding my reflector over my head to shield the camera. *giggle* Seems to be the way these evening sessions go this time of year. That’s ok with me though, I just love those stormy blue skies behind him. Yeah, I think it was worth it.
Ok, first I have to say, how cool is Mom to schedule Dana’s senior portraits during their vacation on Sanibel Island? She might just be the only girl in her Pennsylvania high school to get her senior photos done on the beach. I think that’s pretty cool!
Not only is Dana absolutely beautiful, she’s also quite a trooper! The day or her session was just plain gloomy. No, I take that back, it wasn’t merely gloomy it was raining on us for most of the session! I had her ducking for cover under my reflector, I was balancing an umbrella over my camera…oh…did I mention their were mutant misquotes attacking us the entire time too? See, Class A Trooper! She deserves something awesome for her hard work because aside from a few water spots and a dark sky in a few shots you’d never know, she was all smiles and sunshine.
