Featured Session {Will, Natalie, Andrew, Corey & Cecilia} | Sanibel Island Family Beach Portraits

It’s time for another Featured Session! These two families were vacationing on Sanibel a few weeks ago when we got the phone call to join them for a morning session … and boy did we have fun! Once we found the secret path to the beach (which really wasn’t secret, it was just well hidden), we got down to business. By the way, lifeXpressions’ translation of ‘business’ is FUN! Turns out that both families have been friends for some time and come to Sanibel often for vacation. This trip, they were celebrating a milestone birthday making it all the more fun.

We’ll start with Will, Natalie and Andrew’s family – they’re from the East Coast of Florida. They are also lovers of photography and, as you’ll see in a few frames, we *may* have ourselves another photographer in the making here!!! How cute is that picture?!? She and Terrilyn took pictures of each other and it was hilarious. Natalie thought so too! Her brothers, Will and Andrew, were a hoot too. They had a lot of fun splashing us once they got a little warmed up.

Next is Corey & Celia’s family – they were visiting from New York. *Someone* in this group was enjoying a lovely birthday weekend! What a fantastic way to spend a weekend – on an island with your family and great friends. I think their happiness shows in their pictures – don’t you? Mom and Dad look happy and relaxed. The picture of Corey & Celia, holding her baby sister’s hand so tenderly, just melts my heart. I absolutely LOVE that picture. So sweet and endearing.

Featured Session {Katelyn} | Naples Family Beach Portraits

Because Terrilyn and I have been so busy with sessions and some other really cool stuff we can’t wait to share with you, we thought we would treat everyone to a Featured Session while we put the finishing touches on a few surprises behind the scenes! It’s been a while since we’ve featured a session, and I think you’ll really enjoy these images.

This super fun family came down from the Chicago area back in April for a vacation in Naples. We had the pleasure of photographing mom, dad, and Katelyn on the beach. Katelyn was full of personality, smiles and loved playing in the sand and surf. Even her teddy bear had a special place in the pictures! Cute. Katelyn started the session in a really sweet, long pink dress (I LOVE pink on the beach), before changing into an adorable brown bikini. Mom and Dad were also looking good in coordinating outfits and we had the makings of a fabulous session before we could say “Cheese!”

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day either – the weather was just perfect that day! Take a look below and see for yourself!

Sneak Peek {Daniel & Benjamin} | Fort Myers Beach Family Portraits

This lovely family was down on vacation recently from Canada when we had the pleasure of spending the morning with them at the beach. And on this special morning, *someone* must have called the wildlife committee because we saw all kinds of things: hundreds of small sting rays swimming about 5 feet off shore; a HUGE gopher turtle walking through the brush; and a few dolphins having some morning fun. It was so cool to experience all that with these beautiful boys who live far, far away from the beach (wink).

Daniel & Benjamin are twin brothers, and both have such big personalities independent of each other. It’s always amazing to watch twins interact with each other and it was clear that Daniel & Benjamin shared a special bond. They each share their own special bonds with Mom & Dad too. And although it was just a smidge on the hot side the morning of our session, these boys just kept on playing and laughing and having fun. We dipped our toes in the water, and played in the sand, and truly had a great time.

Sneak Peek {Avery} | Naples Family Beach Portraits – Wiggins Pass

You may recognize this beautiful little girl from past entries. Heck, she’s even featured on our website. Terrilyn has been photographing Avery for some time now and she’s just as sweet as can be. We had so much fun with her during the session – she kept us entertained with lots of smiles and wasn’t bashful at all in front of the camera. I should also mention that the morning of our session was absolutely gorgeous , and to top it all off we were treated to dolphins playfully swimming along the shore! What a great way to start the day! We had a great time with you Miss Avery…tell mom and dad your gallery will be ready soon!

Sneak Peek {Erin & Liam} | Naples Family Beach Portraits

Terrilyn and I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely family recently on Marco Island. They live in New York, but as you will see, really knew how to have fun in the sun! Honestly, Erin and Liam were seriously fun, and seriously smart too. Erin is a beautiful young lady and her brother Liam was a charmer! Mom….here’s the Sneak Peek you’ve been waiting for!

Ok…..here’s one from my perspective of Terrilyn capturing the above shot (hee hee – love it!):

Look at the SMILES here! Beautiful….the love these kids have for their mommy was almost palpable, and that totally comes through in this picture.

So, after we wrapped up the “posey” stuff, we turned everyone loose to kick up their heels and splash around in the surf. Gee, it was really a drag, can’t ya tell?! NOT! I mean seriously, look at Liam’s expression – priceless!

Seriously, you all were so much fun and we thoroughly enjoyed having the chance to capture some wonderful memories of your time here! Mom, your gallery will be up *soon*…. I know you’re going to love the rest of the images

Sneak Peek { Judson & Paisley } | Naples Family Beach Portraits

You’ll probably recognize these little cuties from numerous blog posts over the years. Paisley was one of my very first JOY babies and when little Judson came along I was completely thrilled to have the opportunity to capture his first year as well. We decided a family session on the beach would be the perfect way to celebrate Judson’s first birthday. Little did we know there would be so many cold snaps in South Florida this year. Thankfully, our patience paid off with the reward of sunny skies and beautiful family memories captured.

Happy belated birthday to you sweet Judson!! I can’t believe it’s been one year already. What a cutie you’ve grown into too! Thank you Mom and Dad for inviting me to share these precious memories with your family. I look forward to seeing you all again real soon!!

Terrilyn and I have been having a BLAST lately with beach sessions…now that the weather has warmed up a bit! This totally fun and adorable family was on vacation from Connecticut with their three (yes, THREE) boys who loved being chased through the surf by Terrilyn. I was able to capture a few outtakes with my camera, and a couple of sneak peeks too that I thought I would share. Featured Session | Tyler & Alexis { Sanibel Island Family Photographer }

Have you noticed it’s been a little quiet around here? Yeah? That’s my fault. We’re in the process of moving our family to a new home, yes, right before Christmas. Crazy, I know. Between our upcoming move (in like FOUR DAYS!!!) and putting the finishing touches on the last of the holiday portrait orders as well as keeping the current sessions and bookings running smoothly, as they say, somethin’s gotta give! It’ll likely continue to be a little quieter than usual around here over the next few weeks but I promise I’ll pop in and share sessions as time allows, I just might not have as much time to chat about them as I usually do.

Today I have a very special family to share with you, Mom commissioned me to capture her family as they start down a new path in life and look forward to the future and all it’s possibilities. Tall order I know, but Tyler and Alexis are the most amazing children; confident, respectful, FUN – all around GREAT kids. Of course after spending a little time chatting with their beautiful Mom I can totally see why. We met just a few weeks ago on what I would have to say was the perfect morning for a family photo session on Sanibel Island. The softly lit overcast skies, a near perfect 76 degrees, the light sea breeze blowing through…ahhh…paradise! Thanks so much for spending the morning with me and inviting me to capture these family memories for you all, I hope we meet again real soon!

Featured Session | Zachary & Sophia

Oh boy, I’ve been a bad-bad-blogger! I’m so sorry. As you may have guessed we’re reaching the end of the holiday portrait season and it’s crunch time here in the land of lifeXpressions, not that that’s any excuse. At this point I can only hope a featured session will help ease the pain of neglect for my loyal blog readers. Seriously though – what a treat I have for you guys in the way of featured sessions…blue skies, beautiful warm Florida beaches, a family of blonde haired cuties – total eye candy!

I think I’ve lost count of how many sessions I’ve had with this fabulous family over the years and that’s a-okay with me ’cause I seriously think they get cuter every.single.time I see them!I remember little Zachary was just 6 months old when we first met. He had/has the most AMAZING big blue eyes. Such a cutie but just look at him now, 3 years old sporting that big boy haircut and everything. …sigh… Where does the time go??Then we have sweet little Sophia. Those blue eyes and full lips, I have to admit I’m just slightly jealous, isn’t she beautiful?? Sophia graduated from our JOY program earlier this year. Mom warned me at the start of the session that Sophia never smiles for pictures and that I shouldn’t take it personally. Hmm, really? What’s that old saying?? “Never Say Never”? I love being there to capture a family so in love with each other, it makes my job such a treat. Happy Parents = Happy Children = BEAUTIFUL FAMILY MEMORIES CAPTURED which equals one very happy photographer and, as my lovely assistant Kelly will attest, when Terrilyn is happy everyone is happy! *giggle*Okay…okay…back to work I go….
