Rain or Shine…

The Slices of Life Mini Sessions will go on – and by golly we’ll have fun doing it! Ya gotta love a well prepared Dad! Kudos to Lilly’s Daddy for having the foresight to bring along some fun rain gear and the laid back attitude to make it all just ‘work’ regardless! Lilly’s Mommy is out of town at the moment and I know just how hard it is to be away from your little one so I’m hoping this sneak peek will bring a smile to her face.

I have many more families and photos to share and I promise, more sneak peeks from the Slices of Life sessions very soon! This unusually icky weather backed up my sessions just a tad and I’ve got an early start on the beach tomorrow so this photographer must take time to recharge her batteries before a crazy busy week. However, I do want to take a moment to say thank you to all the wonderful families who made their way out in the rain and humidity to keep me company today, you are all AMAZING, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Stay tuned for your sneak peeks…..

Nite all!

Sneak Peek: Welcome Marlee

I’m going to sneak this peek bright and early because I happen to know there is a certain Aunt on her way to Florida today who has been stalking the blog waiting for these. I just couldn’t let her come to Florida without giving her a little time to prepare herself for the incredible cuteness she’s about to see face to face. I mean little Marlee is like pure sugar, so sweet she makes your teeth ache but whatever you do you just can’t get enough of her. :razz:

Kisses for Marlee from her big brother Maddox. {awww} Maddox is two and man is he quick, thank goodness my trigger finger was pretty quick too!

Peek-a-boo I See You!

It really shouldn’t surprise me that Marlee is as amazing as she is. I mean I’ve been photographing this family for more than two years now and it’s easy to see beauty and sweetness are in their genes. Go ahead, see for yourself: September ’06 {Maternity Session}, November ’07 {Maddox turns ONE}, August ’08 {Waiting for Marlee}

Sneak Peek, Casey & Brady

I just have to pop in quickly to give a little sneak peek to a very special Mommy who has been waiting patiently to see her proofs. Casey is completely adorable (obviously!) and she is just so in love with her new baby brother, Brady.  She was so eager to hold Brady for a few photos and well gosh, I just really adore cooperative two year olds so I was more than happy to oblige. *giggle* I’m going to save some of the sweetest shots as a treat for Mom and Dad when I publish their proofs but I had to show you this face – Oh.My.Gosh – priceless! ha ha ha

All I can say is if Brady has this much personality at 5 days old…well…I’m going to guess there will never be a dull moment in their house! Don’t ya just love him? *melt*

Ok last one then I really have to run. Look at that sweet little squishy newborn face. {{{sigh}}} He’s just perfect!

Introducing Sydney {Then & Now}

Sydney and her family are very special to me. I first met Sydney in ’06 and I knew then and there I had met a very special family. Their love for Sydney, and each other, was evident. I felt privileged to have been welcomed into their lives. I’ve since photographed little Sydney on numerous occasions and was honored with the opportunity to photograph their newest daughter Sienna shortly after her arrival…I’ve been included in so many magical moments for this family it seems only natural that their images would be among those to grace the pages of The Big Book of Babies.

Allow me to introduce to you…

Sydney {then} as published in The Big Book of Babies:

While I wish I could say I have more recent {now} photos of Sydney, her family has since moved to North Carolina which has limited our time together some what. To get a little peek of how adorable Sydney is now (and to meet her adorable sister Sienna) you’ll need to pop over to my post featuring their visit back to the sunshine state last Janurary. Beyond that, well, you’ll have to check back to the blog in a few months when they make their way back to Florida for our annual session.

We asked Sydney’s Mom to answer a few questions for the blog, here’s what she had to say…

What is your favorite weekend activity to do with the family?

“I honestly love a day at home with the girls where we can just play together on our own schedule. Having to get out the door with two little ones can sometimes be a stressful task.”

The most requested toy in my house right now is…

“Whatever the baby is playing with! Somehow that item magically becomes very interesting to Sydney as well.”

One thing I hope to never forget is…

“how my girls smell after their bath.”

If there were 25 hours in a day, I would spend that extra hour…

“Playing with Sydney & Sienna of course!”

What I’m most looking forward to in 2008…

“Hopefully working a few things out with my business so I can spend more time with the girls”

(Check out their adorable new children’s clothing line; www.fliggity.com!)

What do you love about lifeXpressions? (Hey, you know you would ask too!)

“I seriously love the creativity and the quality of the pictures – I don’t know what your ‘secret’ is but I can’t find anything like it here in Charlotte!”"

Sneak Peek, Brianna

I showcased Brianna’s big brother Dominic earlier so I figured what better time to share a few of his equally adorable little sister. The images below are from our session together last week in honor of Brianna’s 2nd birthday. Hard to believe this big ball of energy fit so perfectly in the palms of her Daddy’s hands not all that long ago. Brianna, you’ve come a long way baby! Isn’t she positively adorable?!

Oh the shot on the left, that’s her pout. *snicker* Well, that was her face about two seconds after her pout. Yeah. She’s pretty darn cute!!

Introducing Dominic {Then & Now}

I find it quite an honor that this family has chosen me to document their most special moments time and time again over the course of the last almost five years now. It’s really no surprise that the editors of The Big Book of Babies decided little Dominic should grace their pages not once, but twice! In this first image little Dominic was only 6 months old and barely able to sit without support. The second image featured in the book shows a very excited and happy little 1 year old during our annual holiday session.

Dominic {then} as published in The Big Book of Babies:

and here is little Dominic {now}:

and one of Dominic with his beautiful Mommy…

Scrumdiliumpious!

Why yes, I do believe I made a new word! But, when you are dealing with cuteness on such a high level there really isn’t a word out there that would do them justice. These two handsome young men belong to a young couple who hold a special place in my heart. I’ve had the honor of photographing this growing family on five separate occasions now and I can say, without hesitation that they are the most genuine, good natured, totally in love people you would ever want to meet! I really truly them.

*snicker* I call this one…”Uh-oh. I didn’t do it.”

Uh huh, what did I tell ya Mom…Daddy has his very own little “Mini Me” :mrgreen:

“Leggo my bubbbbbblesssssss!” :lol:

Oh and Mom, ye of little faith…yes…not one but SEVERAL and you’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see them. Ain’t I a stinker? :twisted: ;)

For those following along…here’s a quick link to their first, second, third, and fourth sessions as posted on the blogity-blog. :cool:
