Sneak Peek {Kevin & Riley} | Portraits at the Secret Garden in Naples

So…my husband and I think that Kevin & Riley are the next Kevin Bacon and Gwyneth Paltrow. What do you think?!  Personally, I can’t tell you how excited I was to actually meet these two gorgeous kids in person either.  I guess it’s time to confess:  I’ve had a long-standing crush on Kevin, it’s true (wink wink).  And Ms. Riley was the icing on the cake!  I was quite impressed with how loving Kevin was toward his little sister during our time together.  So sweet!  [I have a younger brother and I'm willing to bet my mother would have paid money to get us to behave the way Kevin & Riley did!]   This was also the first time I met mom – honestly, such a pleasure to hang out with this family for the morning.  Both Terrilyn and I got such adorable, amazing shots that it has been *beyond* challenging to pick our favorites.  So, you all will just have to settle for oh, maybe a couple handfuls of Sneak Peeks instead.  Thank you so much mom, Kevin and Riley for a fabulous morning at The Secret Garden….your gallery will be up soon!

Sneak Peek {Kristen, Katherine & Matthew} | Naples Family Portraits at The Secret Garden

Good morning Kristen! This one’s for YOU! Rumor has it you’ve been on the edge of your seat waiting for this Sneak Peek (and I don’t blame you one bit!). I think you’ll see it was worth the wait. I really enjoyed meeting you (finally!), and was/am thrilled to know that you follow our blog each day.  THANK YOU! Terrilyn and I thoroughly enjoyed our session with you, Katherine,and Matthew.  Beautiful children., and I have no question everyone will agree as they scroll through your Sneak Peek.  By the way, the outfits were totally adorable outfits too; perfect for the setting.  Love, love, love! Sneak Peek {Anne & Ryan} | Naples Family Portraits at The Secret Garden

Not too long ago, Ryan’s mom booked a mother/child session with us so we could capture some intimate moments when they came down on vacation.  They made it down a couple weeks ago and we took them to The Secret Garden for their session – just beautiful! Well, we could not have enjoyed their company any more -  Mom and Ryan giggled and cuddled the whole time and it was so nice to see the bond they share in person.  They positively adore each other!  Dad and Grandma hung out in the back on the deck and waited patiently while we had our fun…

First I’ll share a few Terrilyn sent my way before she left for Camp Lejuene. Look at how Ryan is just gazing into his mom’s eyes with complete adoration…it melts my heart:

Around Town

Happy Friday everyone!  Did you all survive tax day?  Either way, let’s think happy thoughts now and see what’s going on Around Town this weekend.  In case you were wondering, the weather is supposed to be quite nice:  partly cloudy with highs in the low 80’s!

Smuggler’s Cove Miniature Golf – Fort Myers Beach, FL

What a perfect weekend to take the family out for a round of miniature golf!  And Smuggler’s Cove is the place to go offering 18 exciting holes of “adventure style” mini golf.  The course is set in lush tropical settings amid waterfalls and rushing waterways with caves, pirate ships and live alligators to boot.  Smugglers Cove is fun for all ages and will host children (and adult) birthday parties, youth groups, field trips, fundraisers and corporate outings! Hours: 9:00 am – 11:00 pm 7 days a week all year.  For more information, click here.

Exploration Day – Your Hometown, Anytime!

Today I took my two boys, Jack (3) and Jake (2), to Lovers Key State Park located just south of Fort Myers Beach in Estero, Florida.  We called it our ‘exploration’ day and our goal was to check out the beach (for future sessions…hee hee) and find as many cool critters and things as we could.  Well, we had a blast and I wanted to share a visual ‘narrative’ of our morning.  I hope you enjoy it, and I hope it inspires you to do something similar with your own children.  It was quite rewarding for me too….I had a mommy and me day with my two boys and got invaluable bonding time with them :)

Sneak Peek {Avery} | Naples Family Beach Portraits – Wiggins Pass

You may recognize this beautiful little girl from past entries. Heck, she’s even featured on our website.  Terrilyn has been photographing Avery for some time now and she’s just as sweet as can be. We had so much fun with her during the session – she kept us entertained with lots of smiles  and wasn’t bashful at all in front of the camera.  I should also mention that the morning of our session was absolutely gorgeous , and  to top it all off we were treated to dolphins playfully swimming along the shore!  What a great way to start the day!  We had a great time with you Miss  Avery…tell mom and dad your gallery will be ready soon!

Sneak Peek {Max & Mimi} | Naples Family Portraits

April 7, 2010 – 8:15 pm

While Terrilyn has had the pleasure of photographing these adorable kids for awhile now, this was only my  second time with Max, Mimi, mommy and daddy.  Let me tell you, this family is awesome!  Both Max and Mimi are such sweet kids who actually seem to like each other!  I know, I know…strange for a brother and sister, right?!  Seriously though, by the end of the session the whole family was singing songs – even stuff from Green Day :-)   I was amazed!  Mom, Dad, Max & Mimi – thanks again for spending a morning with us – it was a blast!

Sneak Peek {Erin & Liam} | Naples Family Beach Portraits

Terrilyn and I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely family recently on Marco Island.  They  live in New York, but as you will see, really knew how to have fun in the sun!  Honestly, Erin and Liam were seriously fun, and seriously smart too.  Erin is a beautiful young lady and her brother Liam was a charmer!  Mom….here’s the Sneak Peek you’ve been waiting for!

Look at the SMILES here!  Beautiful….the love these kids have for their mommy was almost palpable, and that totally comes through in this picture.

0310oconnor-blog03So, after we wrapped up the “posey” stuff, we turned everyone loose to kick up their heels and splash around in the surf.   Gee, it was really a drag, can’t ya tell?!  NOT! I mean seriously, look at Liam’s expression – priceless!   :-)
