Sneak Peek { Georgia, Gus, & Lilee } | Fort Myers Family Beach Photography

Recently I traveled to the Riviera Club on Fort Myers Beach to photograph Georgia, Gus, and Lilee along with their Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa, and two Godmothers…whew…are you tired yet? Well I sure was, but only because we had so much FUN playing together on the beach. When I say I am excited to share this session with the family, well, that’s an understatement. I think this family is going to have quite a job ahead of them when it comes time to pick their favorites!! These guys are just way too cute for words. Oh and yes, I did get soaked…again! :)

Trendy Tuesday

Good morning everyone!  Do you know what today is???  It’s Trendy Tuesday! Let’s get down to business, shall we?

This weekend is the Fourth of July, and a great chance to dress your kids up in some absolutely adorable clothes, like this dress from Pottery Barn Kids.  A vintage seaside print inspired this collection, sewn of breezy cotton poplin that’s just right for summer. A lighthouse and sailboats are silhouetted in navy on white fabric. The sleeveless dress has buttons down the back and comes with matching bloomers. It’s doubled lined for extra fullness, with a muslin layer that provides structure and a cotton lawn layer that feels smooth against her skin.  And you can personalize it.  How cute!

And for the little man, how about this seriously cute matching shirt and some navy pants?  This shirt is sewn of breezy cotton poplin that’s just right for summer.  The button-down shirt is detailed with a straight hem and side vents for a neat look.  The pants are a great basic, and made of substantial cotton twill with an elastic waistband for easy changes. Pants have coordinating gingham lining at the waistband.

Have you checked out Janie and Jack yet?  Oooohhh, their stuff is absolutely, totally ADORABLE!  Like these cute outfits.  The dress is an All-American fashion. Our airy cotton poplin pieced stripe dress features stripe grosgrain ribbon and bow at the pleated bodice for sweet style. Tiered skirt finishes the colorful look. Full fine cotton batiste lining provides exceptional comfort. Coordinating bloomer completes the ensemble. The shirt is striped and polished all-American style. Embroidered dog icon decorates the chest of our soft pieced cotton pique polo shirt.

Ok folks, that does it for this week’s Trendy Tuesday!  Terrilyn and I know you’ll find something totally cute to put the kiddos in this weekend.  We’d love to see some pictures of the ensembles ; )   Have a great day everyone!

Sneak Peek { Zoee } | Cape Coral Newborn Portraits

In just over a week I’ll be leaving, on a jet plane…but I will be back again! I’m just going to visit with my dear friend and fellow photographer Connie Groah in Annapolis for some much needed R&R. Of course one can’t really run away for some R&R without thoroughly wearing herself out before hand. So in keeping with that theory I’ve managed to schedule myself back to back sessions for the next ten days along with mountains of proofing that must be tackled before I can take off on my little adventure. Not to worry, Kelly will be available to answer questions and inquiries while I’m running around like a mad woman. I hear she’s got something totally cute in the works for this coming week’s Trendy Tuesday too!

Last week I traveled to the middle-of-no-where which, according to google maps is somewhere in North Cape Coral. *grin* The plan was visit with, and of course photograph, one very sweet two month old baby girl. Of course the instant I met little Zoee I knew it had been worth the drive, isn’t she precious?! I just had to pop in and sneak peek a few for Mom and Dad as soon as I could. :)

Around Town

Well, the weekend is once again upon us.  Got anything special planned?  You know, the one thing I can’t seem to get out of my mind tonight as I write this (given the news of today) is perhaps this weekend would be a great time to just be.  Whatever that means to you and your family.  Just be - together, even if only in thought.  Have a big picinic in the backyard with your kids.  Make s’mores.  How fun would that be?  Or, cuddle up together on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn and watch your favorite movie together.  Take a walk on the beach, or a hike in the mountains.  Watch the sunset together.  The most important thing is to remember not to take life - or the ones you love - for granted.  Tell them that you love them.  I guarantee it’ll be the best thing you did all weekend!   xoxo

Trendy Tuesday

Behind every stylish kid is a fashionable mom. For this week’s Trendy Tuesday look, check out on line retail boutique Eden’s Bouquet. The owner and designer of Eden’s Bouquet is not only fashionable, but super with a capital, “S”. Eden’s Bouquet owner, Jennifer Stenersen, is about to have her 9th child (YES NINTH), has just finished building a new home with her family and has designed yet another amazing collection of beautiful clothes for our precious children to enjoy.

The newest Eden’s Bouquet collection is called Friday Harbor, which was inspired by a trip Jennifer took to the quaint island town of Friday Harbor in San Juan. From this new collection I just love the Heirloom Lace Swimsuit. I think it will be perfect for any little girl or even look at how fabulous it looks on this older girl. I know you can see your own child in these beach photos! And for your little man how priceless would a photo of him be in this Linen suit, tweed hat and cotton shirt. Each of the pieces in every Eden’s Bouquet collection are created to be timeless and without season. You will love everything on the website these are just a few of my new favorites.

Order from the Friday Harbor Collection between now and June 25th and use FH10 code for a 10% discount. Keep up with the Eden’s Bouquet blog for great stories and secret sales!
